Sarah E. Brown received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Maryland. She then attended law school at American University Washington College of Law, where she graduated with honors.
While in law school, she was involved in a number of activities, serving as Women’s Law Association President, Producer of the Law Revue, and the 2015 Barrister’s Ball Chair. She also interned for the Honorable Clayton Greene, Jr. at the Maryland Court of Appeals, as well as at the Federal Communications Commission, and later clerked for Senator Robert Cassilly with the Maryland General Assembly. Upon graduating law school, she joined the Honorable Cathleen M. Vitale, as her Law Clerk, at the Anne Arundel County Circuit Court.
For the past six years, Ms. Brown’s emphasis in her practice of law has been representing clients in family law matters, including divorce, custody, support, separations, property settlements, adoptions, guardianships, landlord tenant disputes, general civil litigation, and liquor licenses.
Ms. Brown is an active member of the community and, as a lifelong Annapolitan, is very passionate about her city. She currently serves as the President of GiGi’s Playhouse Annapolis, a Down Syndrome Achievement Center providing free therapeutic and education programming for individuals with Down Syndrome and devotes additional time to volunteering with various local organizations.
When not in the courtroom or volunteering, she enjoys paddleboarding with her dog Piper, mastering racket sports, cheering on UMD basketball, trying new local restaurants, and traveling.
