Elleanor W. Borgdorff

Biography

A native of Annapolis, Elleanor (“Elle”) Borgdorff is an associate attorney whose practice focuses on family law. Elle grew up in Annapolis and attended The Key School. 

Before entering private practice, Elle served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Christine M. Celeste of the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County from 2025-2026. During her clerkship, Elle worked on a wide range of matters before the court, including numerous family law cases involving custody, divorce, alimony, modifications, and protective orders. 

Elle earned her Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law, where she served as Managing Editor of the Syracuse Journal of Science and Technology Law and as Vice President of the Family Law Society. She remains involved with Syracuse Law as a member of its Emerging Leaders Council.

Prior to law school, Elle earned her Bachelor of Arts in History, cum laude, from Old Dominion University, where she was nominated for the Provost’s Award for Outstanding Undergraduate Researcher. She was also a varsity sailor at Old Dominion, competing at the Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association National Championships and earning the team’s Most Valuable Player award for the 2016–2017 season.

Elle is admitted to the Maryland Bar and is actively involved in the local and statewide legal communities. She serves as Co-Chair of the Maryland State Bar Association Young Lawyers Section Pro Bono Committee and as the Young Lawyers Section Circuit Representative for Anne Arundel County. She is also a member of the Anne Arundel County Bar Association, where she serves on various Committees. 

Elle maintains an active connection to the Annapolis community outside of her legal practice. She is a member of First Presbyterian Church of Annapolis, where she serves as a youth group leader. A lifelong sailor, Elle is also a member of the Annapolis Yacht Club and continues to race competitively through its Adult Interclub program and J/105 fleet.

Elle resides in Annapolis with her husband and their two dogs.
